HAVE AN AWESOME AUGUST

The best summer month is finally here, so get out, enjoy the long warm evenings and get stuck into some of the top events of the year. With festivals aplenty and delicious outdoor dining, the only thing you’ll need to remember is your suncream. The first event on everyone's August calendar has to be The Yorkshire Balloon Fiesta, with over 50 balloons expected it’s one of Europe’s largest hot air balloon festivals and is returning to God's own country for its 6th edition. This is the time of the year to get out, enjoy the beautiful scenery we call home and listen to some amazing music.

With August taking up the biggest chunk of the school holidays, make sure you keep in the loop about all the entertainment happening this month. York Army Museum have an Animal Encounter with Sam’s Safari’s crazy creatures and a World War Two themed Codebreakers challenge, while the National Railway Museum have opened their Wonderlab — they’ve put together 18 handson challenges to keep your little ones busy.

This August, I can’t think of a town on earth in which I’d rather be than our own York.

Until next month!
