Heavenly Desserts York
by Miriam Holmes
It’s not often that my son Joshua wants to spend the evening (especially on a Friday night!) with his mum. However, on mentioning Heavenly Deserts, he soon changed his tune.
The delicious dessert spot is a real hidden gem in York. From pistachio mochis to cannoli and everything in between, their menu offers the kind of unique sweet treats you just don’t get to try out at home. The interior is extravagantly decorated, with lots of pink and floral décor - everything is immaculate and very well presented.
As we were handed the menu, our first obstacle presented itself - which option of the seemingly countless amazing deserts to choose from. With waffles and cheesecakes, as well as some old school dinner deserts, (cornflake cake being one of my favourites) and so much more, you’ll find that at Heavenly Desserts, so long as you have a sweet tooth you’ll feel right at home.
Fortunately, the obstacle didn’t take long to overcome - if you are picky like us, you can select their tapas-style deserts, so you don’t spend ages on the menu picking what you want.
Josh decided that one dessert wasn’t enough and opted for both the Lotus Biscoff & White Chocolate Cookie Dough and the Cheesecake Royal! You won’t be surprised to hear that the portions are plentiful, and Josh really struggled to finish both desserts.
I had the ‘I’ll Have What She’s Having’ Waffles, which were freshly cooked and again the portion size is huge.
I don’t think there is ever any excuse needed to go out for dessert but, if you are looking for one, make that excuse to try out Heavenly Desserts for the first (or tenth) time.
Head to www.heavenlydesserts.co.uk/stores/york to view the menu ahead of attending.
