The Snawsells – the former Lord mayor william and his wife Joan – will welcome you into their 15th-century home, and local historian helen cox will discuss the importance of the magna carta at a fascinating lecture. and there’s plenty to keep little ones entertained, too – dig will put on a special medieval experience. Thunderbirds are go for this year’s York maze The award-winning attraction is back again, and this year you have the chance to get lost in a massive 350-metre-long Thunderbird 2! as well as the giant maize maze, which celebrates 50 years of the adventure TV show, there will be all of your old favourites. The cobstacle course, crowmania ride, pig racing, and kernel kernel’s house of cornfusion are all returning to the farm in Elvington, right the way until 7th September.
