The good news is that as always, York is the gift that keeps on giving. No matter your attitude to the arrival of October — we’ve got the perfect event for you.
For those preparing to battle the seasonal blues, look ahead to page 22 for our theatre listings. October might be the best month yet as “The Full Monty” arrives at the Grand Opera House and a brilliant “Frankenstein” adaptation takes the stage at the Theatre Royal.
However if you are already in the mood for something a little spookier, make sure you don’t miss out on Hallowsceam at York Maze, its one of the UK’s biggest scare parks— reserved for only the bravest among us!
Even though York is as beautiful as ever in the autumn, with the falling leaves and changing colours, not all of us are as welcoming to the cooler temperates as others. There’s no shame in preferring to spend
more of the dark evenings indoors, rather than out and about — counting down the days until halloween.
Whatever the weather and whatever your priorities are this October, we’re sure to have you covered. Head to pages 6-18 for our full events and attractions listings —to discover your newest favourite York spot.
Until next month, Your What’s On Team
