our days spent recently promoting a new development at the Johannesburg Property Buyers Expo have convinced him that there is a massive need for programmes to educate the public in all aspects of property, especially the buying and investment processes, says Rowan Alexander, Director of Alexander Swart Property. “Many potential buyers,” he says, “are ill informed about even the most basic matters affecting property deals. Those of us operating in the industry tend to forget this because we have become so familiar with the necessary processes such as transfers and bond applications. We fail to realise that for many these are matters about which they know absolutely nothing
