House Hunting Checklist

Because homes are a big investment, it only makes sense to purchase a home that meets all, or most of your needs. Consequently, home buyers should evaluate their needs, and put it down in writing. Nonetheless, here is an example of a basic house hunting checklist, which includes a few important factors to consider when looking for a new home.

• Is the Property Conveniently Located? – Even though some people prefer living in secluded areas, many others favor neighborhoods centrally location. For example, will the children attend a nearby school, or one located on the other side of town? How far is the nearest throughway or highway? Are shopping centers and grocery stores in close proximity? • Is the Neighborhood Attractive? – The majority of home buyers are greatly concerned about the overall appearance of the neighborhood. Even if your home and yard is nicely manicured and wellmaintained, a neighbor’s lack of concern for their own yard can create a distasteful setting. For thisreason, some home buyers will pass over homes located in un-kept or filthy neighborhoods.
