Jack & "Your name 2" Budding Adventurers

The trEAsUrE OF Terence THE Terrible

Jack, “Your name 2” and Poko the parrot were playing on the beach, when the little pirate spotted a bottle on the horizon. ““Your name 2”, there is a bottle among the rocks !” “Rubbish, rubbish !” cried the parrot. “No, Poko. It’s a bottle ! We must go and fetch it.” “Your name 2” replied.

Poko tried to grab it with his beak, but the bottle was much too heavy. Splash ! It fell back into the sea. Suddenly, “Your name 2” jumped into the water, under the watchful eye of the parrot. Leaving the bottle for another pirate was out of the question ! She swam like a fish and quickly returned to the beach with the precious bottle.

Jack removed the cork and took out a crinkled, yellowed parchment… It was a treasure map… And not just any map: It was the map to Terence the Terrible’s treasure ! The little pirates were very excited ! The greatest treasure of all the pirates was awaiting them !

They prepared the ship and took provisions to hold out for several days: food and blankets‌ They must think of everything and above all forget nothing ! At last they were ready. They set off on their adventure !

Jack set the sails due south. “Your name 2” was more at ease in the water than on the water. The poor little pirate was sick. Poko was also seasick, when a large storm appeared on the horizon.

Large black clouds closed over and the sky started to roar. The sea unleashed itself upon them and even Jack had a hard time feeling confident. Poko went to hide at the bottom of the hold ! They waited impatiently for the sea to calm down.

After a terrifying night, Poko saw Mo Island in the distance. “Treasure, treasure !” he cried, flying over Jack. “Yes, Poko, it’s Mo Island !” confirmed Jack, looking at it with his spyglass. “Your name 2” was relieved; she would soon be on solid ground.

Here they were: The little pirates set foot on the land. “Now, we must find the treasure !” said “Your name 2” turning the map around in all directions. Jack wanted to turn right and “Your name 2” wanted to turn left. “One thing is for sure, we must find the rock in the shape of a skull !” said Jack.

It was easier said than done ! Luckily, Poko spotted the famous rock and guided the little pirates towards it. “You are amazing, Poko !” exclaimed Jack. The treasure was very close: The map indicated ten paces southwards. Jack counted as he walked: 1, 2, 3 … while “Your name 2” looked for something to dig with.

With what they could find, the little pirates dug and dug‌ and started to despair that they would find nothing. And what if somebody had got there before them? Tap! Tap! Jack had hit something. Hurrah ! They had found it ! They managed to remove a large chest from the hole.

“Now we just have to open it !” boasted Jack. “Yes, but it has a padlock !” replied “Your name 2”. Oh dear ! But Jack was always full of ideas: He grabbed a piece of wood and crack, he managed to break the padlock and…

… discover Terence the Terrible’s treasure ! What a funny treasure ! There were no jewels or precious stones or pieces of gold, but sweets, lollipops and caramels ! “Terence the Terrible had quite a sweet tooth” declared Jack laughing. Finally, the little pirates and Poko were delighted ! That might not make them real pirates, but at least they were enjoying themselves !
