Witness a demonstration of the C-17 military transport craft, a parade of heavy-lifting planes like the C-17, C-5M and KC-10, a flight of the supersoniccapable F-35 fighter, an homage to the P-51, a plane used during World War II and a flyby of the bomber squad B-2, B-1 and B-52. You’ll also be treated to a wide range of indoor exhibits in the Aviation Museum, with a shuttle transporting attendees in between the museum and Air Show area every 2030 minutes. A shuttle will run from the Fairfield/Vacaville Train Station on the corner of Peabody & Vanden Rd every 20 minutes beginning at 8:30 a.m.

Dixon May Fair Thursday – Sunday, May 5 – 8 The Dixon May Fair has returned! Gates open on May 5 to celebrate the 145th anniversary of the oldest Fair in California. Bring the family to revel in the excitement of carnival rides, live music, competition and iconic fair food. Entertainment will include live performances from the Jack Spareribs Pirate Show, the Rubber Chicken Show, The Throw Zone with Jeremiah Johnston, Patrick Contreras’ Violin on Fire and everyone’s bestie, Flo the Clown. Kids Town America is bringing back its interactive exhibits, perfect for a break from the hustle and bustle of the Fair. Music lovers of all genres will enjoy a plethora of bands providing a wide range of tunes, from classic tributes to new and original hits. Some groups to hit the Leber Garden Stage include Sacred Fire: A Tribute to Santana, Foreigner Unauthorized, Latin Touch, Vinyl Ride, Robby James and the Streets of Bakersfield, Crossman Connection and Rhythm Method Trio. After the time-honored downtown parade, Picnic Lawn will come alive Saturday evening with the return of the Dixon May Fair Classic Car Show and on Sunday with a line-up of Latin Music. The ever-popular Bulls & Broncs competition will also be making its comeback, along with Tractor and Truck Pulls and the ever-popular Demolition Derby on Sunday. Last but not least, a visit to the Fair is not complete without a spin or a twirl on one of the many carnival rides! Butler Amusements is back with a wide selection of spectacular rides for all ages, with a Smart Card that can be reloaded with tickets to make having fun easier than ever.
