The purpose of this phase is for a person to develop the leadership elements we were promising to our customers. Becoming Self-aware, Empower Others, World Citizen, Solution-Driven by taking advantage of the intense experiences which AIESEC offers throughout an inner & outer journey.

Team Leader Program Value Proposition


A Team Leader Programme (TLP) experience is an opportunity for a young person to develop entrepreneurial and responsible leadership through leading and guiding others in their work and experience at a local, national, regional or global level.

How do we run this programme ? We provide practical learning and development to a young person through the experience of managing a team. Team Leader Programme participants contribute to the development of others while ensuring AIESEC’s performance and the delivery of its experiences.


What can a young person gain through this programme ?

With this programme, a young person gains access to AIESEC’s value-based platform, and he or she experiences:  A practical team leader or executive leadership body experience  Personal and professional development  Practical hard and soft skills development  Activities which develop an entrepreneurial and responsible attitude towards being a better leader TLP participants can have different types of team-based leadership experiences such as leading a team or acting as a part of the executive leadership body of an entity.

Duration of a Team Leader experience: From 2 months to one term

Your journey with AIESEC will consist of 2 parts: INNER & OUTER JOURNEY will be defined by your EXTERNAL, PROFESSIONAL ENVIRONMENT with your team and inside your LC. INNER JOURNEY will be defined by your INTERNAL CHALLENGES that you will face as a leader with your team.

Besides providing directions to your team members when they feel lost during their experience, or improving members performance, help their development… Or receiving the right transition and training for your new role including team minimums. But most importantly, it’s about you understanding that your “customers” are your team members and you should be accountable for the experience of your team.

Your responsibility is to track voluntarily the fulfilment of Team minimums, and to seek for support to offer a better experience to your team.
