Information campaign about impact of AA/DCFTA through Euroclubs network support & development

Launching of new Euroclubs Up to now, 12 Euroclubs have been launched and are active in different regions of Moldova.

During the reported period it was launched a new Euroclub based on youth initiative.

Launching of Euroclub Rezina / Forum of European Institution at Gimnaziu s. Sarcova, Rezina On 23 May, Scholars from gymnasium of s. Sarcova, Rezina organised a flash mob "The values of the EU" dedicated to EU day celebration, with the occasion of a Euroclub launching at the gymnasium.

Children, under the guidance of their teacher Natalia Cebotari, simulated a FORUM of European Institutions. The participants built their presentations based on the EU values and used algorithm of the official institutions of the EU and debated on character of the EU's institution.

Last part of the event was interactive, named "The children ask, the adults answer!" – EUD’s representative has answered on the most of the scholars questions about his experience as European citizen.

BDR Associates in partnership with EUI hosted by Junior Achievement Chisinau1 (here and after – EUI JA) offered logistical and informational support for establishment of the new Euroclub:  

Other events & initiatives developed by the Euroclubs network during the reported period of the project were:

Euroclub CPTC (Polytechnic College), Workshop dedicated to motivation, January 2016

Students of Polytechnic College attended an interactive event named “Motivation leads me to succeed”, organised by Euroclub CPTC’s members in partnership with online platform www.motivare.md . During the event they participated at a workshop about youth motivation, participants presented Euroclub association and their goals.

Euroclub Hyperion-Durlesti, 22 January 2016 On the 22th of January, members of Euroclub Hyperion-Durlesti guided by their history teacher, Ms Lucia Caciuc, organized a quiz / competition named “Win 12 stars” (Câștigă 12 steluţe) focused on history, culture topics and EU SM traditions.

Participants and audience were scholars from 5 to 12 grades.

Special guest of the event from EUD was Mr David Puie, Political and Economic Section from EU Delegation to Moldova. He praised, in his speech to youth, the pro-activism of young people that are members of Euroclub and highlighted EU SM traditions as the stakeholders of the prosperity. He encouraged youth to be confident in their abilities and to dare learning as many as possible for their development.

Background of Euroclub: Launched on 1 December 2014; 34 members, from VI-VIII grade. Activities of the Euroclub are oriented on sharing the EU values. Sorts of activities: discovering of history and traditions in UE; quizzes & participation on intellectual competitions and charity acts.

Euroclub ASEM, 6 - 17 June 2016 During 6 - 17 June 2016, Euroclub ASEM was involved and actively participated in a two weeks training Summer School EU Academy, organized by INTEGRA project of European Integration Studies Centre (ASEM).

Speakers of the event and topics that were tackled:     

Mr Apostol Octavian, director AGEPI: The trade and intellectual property rights; Ms Larisa Dodu-Gugea, ASEM: Fundamentals of EU Trade Policy; Ms Angelica Munteanu, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration: Milestones in EUMD relations; Prof. Silvo DEVETAK, Slovenia: EU enlargement and economic cooperation; Ms Cristina Avornic, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova.

Euroclub CPAM (“A. Mateevici” College), 10 – 18 November 2016 Under the coordination of a new leader, Euroclub CPAM, exert the initiative and organised Youth Week in CPAM.

The members of Euroclubs scheduled and developed activities involved and motivated students to have active participation during the events, as follows:    

Seminar "Say no to drugs", 11 November; Debate: "I am pro / cons of tolerance", 15 November; Day of self-running in the college, 17 November; Thematic training: How to choose your friends, 17 November;

Euroclub Rezina (s. Sarcova) In September 2016, the Euroclub was reorganised and includes 26 students, from grades V-IX. Activities are conducted weekly (around 1 hour) as an extra-curricular school hours, under coordination of Civic education teacher, Natalia Cebotari.

Member of Euroclubs developed several thematic activities from the launching, as follows: 

Participation in the #RedCardforCorruption campaign, event in Rezina rayon.

   

Workshop dedicated to International Peace Day, 21 September; Information session about the EU symbols, 12 October; Drawing workshop dedicated to International Day of Tolerance, 16 November; Drawing contest oriented to show and present Children's Rights Day, 20 November.

Activities dedicated to Europe Day 2016

Euroclub CPTC (Polytechnic College), Photo-guide for tourists, April 2016 Members of Euroclub CPTC developed a photographic project "Chisinau - European city" in which were involved 10-20 people. The project comprises a virtual map 16 destinations / locations in Chisinau - to visit & take original, funny and non-conformist pictures.

Students identified and presented brief information about the locations and posted pictures on Facebook page of the CPTC Euroclub, as a mini-guide for tourists in Chisinau.

Euroclub Comrat Euroclub Comrat together with European NGO Centre "Pro-Europa" in Comrat developed celebration program of Europe Day 2016 in Comrat (Gagauzia ATU) during entire month of May, as following:    

"European Academy" 2 days training for volunteers; Scholars Competition "Crossing Europe"; Film clubs at Euroclub Comrat, Ceadar-Lunga and Vulcanesti; Distribution of EU promotional materials for educational institutions, libraries and public at large (information booklets, bookmarks, badges, key chains, beads, etc.).

Above mentioned events were published on Pro-Europa online platform www.proeuropa.md

All above described activities were coordinated with Liudmila Mitioglo, Head of the European Centre "Pro-Europa" in Comrat. All volunteers were h with EU logo branded materials, as following below:

Euroclub Leova On 10 May 2016, "Euro Club" Leova held the "Europe day" event entitled "Europe day is your day" in partnership with local city hall of Leova, Department of Culture, Tourism, Youth and Sports of Leova, Centre of Information and Documentation for Youth Leova, Territorial Office for Information of Parliament, Creation Centre for Kids, Public library from the rayon, School of Arts for Children "Petre si Ion Teodorovici".

Euroclub members organized, during the event, the following activities:   

Contest on European topic; awarding of the winners with prizes including EU branded materials; Concert with participation of local artists and talented youth from Leova’s lyceum, dancers from Creative Centre for Children and School of Arts; Recital of poetry with European topic;

Euroclub ASEM, EuroBrain contest, 11 May 2016 The contest "Eurobrain" mobilized 25 of the best students of the faculty, who had to answer to quizzes dedicated to EU history, culture and modern life.

For the development of the event, BDR Associates ensured the Euroclub with writing & office supplies (i.e. A2 format paper – 10 units and 10 badges). All participants were awarded with: • •

Euroclub Ungheni, 10-11 May Euroclub Ungheni mobilized their members to organize two activities to support the celebration event.

Both were held in the premises of the High School "V. Alecsandri ", involving students and teachers of the school. They have been achieved, with following goals:     

informing students about aspects of European values; promoting European vector; supporting the campaign to celebrate Europe Day in our locality; youth employment in supporting and promoting European values; raising awareness among young people about the benefits of the European Union.

The activities have given rise to European values, issues and functioning of Euroclub Ungheni, inclusively with the engagement of potential new members.

Euroclubs Nicolae Iorga (Chisinau) / flash mob dedicated to EU day celebration, 12 May Scholars from Lyceum "Nicolae Iorga" staged a flash mob dedicated to Europe Day. Youth has expressed support for the European course of the country. The event was held in the square of the school and had marked also the launch of Euroclub which promotes European values by actively involving young people.

BDR provided the new Euroclub with the following support: •

Informational and logistical support (printed materials) for the organization of events; Contacts of the Euroclubs network in Moldova.

BDR developed an interactive map of Euroclub network with included details, contacts of the Euroclubs coordinators, as reflected in the below preview. The Map will be posted on the EUD online platform and Euroclubs facebook pages.
