In this course, each tutorial group was assigned one category of animal display and one function space on part of the Pinjarra Hills. In the insect exhibition group, by studying natural habits of insects, I finally choose endopterygota(Butterflies, Beetles, Ants) to be the star in my Insect Zoo to create a feeling of parallel universe by experiencing their life cycle while traveling.

The main idea extracted from Foshou is the plan differences between the facade and internal circulation to create the feeling of lost along with the bamboo facade. Fundamental Service Network

Exploded Diagrams

“The Mobile World” By studying the shortest sales’ man walk principle, and by inspired by the augmented reality tool-Hologram, I realized the possibility of aero cities as the future humans’ residences.

Aero Transportation Platform

So in my futuristic fantasy, I proposed the situation when the land is severely degraded and no longer suitable for human living, all the cities will float in the air. And meganetic power will be the major momentum for city floating and aero transportation. The ground would be reconstruct and back to green after human left, factories would be left on ground as well, and all products can be transferred to aero city through the dripping pipes.

Urban towers

Villa Dall’Ava proposed a new residential type in Paris, compared to neighbors. The entrance was designed with metal bars as the imitation of urban forest. Two generations’ living space were separated by the density of corrugated metal sheets and connected with a roof top swimming pool.

All the travel route also designed according to the script which can minimize the travel distance to achieve the most ideal city grids.

Other Projects in Bachelor

Analysis Diagrams:

“The Insect Zoo of Parallel Universe” In the insect exhibition group, by studying natural habits of insects, I finally choose endopterygota(Butterflies, Beetles, Ants) to be the star in my Insect Zoo to create a feeling of parallel universe. To be Specific, Parallel Universe in architecture means the feeling of traveling in time. In this zoo, I proposed a panel structure, which can create similarity of view frames, to create the feeling of familiarity while people traveling. So People will experience the life cycle of insects and 5 different categories of insects with the illusion of the familiarity of spaces. In this way, the factor of time is weakened, and the different insects and life cycle in penetrable scenes can create the feeling of time traveling.

“The Isolated Campus” Inspired by the preliminary Assignment - Marker and the concept of “Entropy” (which introduced the irreversible decline of energy from order to disorder), I realized the importance of the Awareness of environmental degradation. In doing so, I proposed my design in-between mountains to limit the visitors’ views while entering to enhance the Shock of scenes While looking in Plain desert to Aware them the soil degradation to sand.
