Self Service Lockers: Borrowing and using ILS laptops Laptops are available from Fountains, Holgate and Students Union. You will need your student card and PIN in order to borrow a laptop from the locker
Borrowing
Saving your work
Laptops are free to borrow. You can borrow 1 laptop at a time. Laptops are issued for one day (due back the following day before 23:59) Laptops cannot be renewed.
You cannot save your work to the laptops, a USB memory stick should be used. When you close down the laptop, any work which has not been saved to a USB memory stick will be lost.
Returning a Laptop
Charging Laptops are charged in the lockers.
You must return a borrowed laptop to the same locker you got it from.
A charging pack will be available with each laptop to borrow.
Laptops will always be due back the following day before 23:59.
If there is no charging pack in the locker please inform ILS immediately.
You should check opening hours for the building so that you can return the laptop during building opening hours.
Fines Laptops which are not returned on their due date before 23:59 will incur an immediate fine of ÂŁ10. All borrowing/renewing will be blocked until an overdue laptop is returned and the fine is paid. If you have a problem returning a laptop you should contact the Service Desk in Information Learning Services as soon as possible. If a laptop is stolen you will need to provide a crime reference number
