Basic Setup Switch on by sliding the HOLD switch and holding it for a second.
‘HOLD’ switch is on the back of the device.
The amount of recording time available is displayed on the screen. The device can record up to 4 hours 24minutes.

Recording Audio To start recording audio press REC / PAUSE button. The red recording (OPR) light below the screen will illuminate when recording.
To pause the recording press the REC / PAUSE button. To stop the recording press the STOP button.
For the best quality recordings make sure the microphones are pointed directly at the source of sound, preferable in a quiet location.

Playback Audio Press the center button up or down to search through files and then press down to playback,
To pause playback press the center button down again whilst listening to recording
Press the STOP button to stop playback.

Transfer Audio When you are finished recording press STOP on the device
Then turn off the device by moving the HOLD switch to the right ‘HOLD’ switch is on the back of the device.
Then return to the device to Media Services along with a USB Memory stick (available to purchase from ILS). USB drives must be clearly labelled.
They will transfer the files for you and convert them to MP3. You will be able to play these files on any compatible device and also edit them using Audacity (available on the ILS Computers).
