FILMMAKERS Robert J. Escandon has been involved with Masterflow Productions for years, where he has directed the awardwinning movie Strange Sunset and the crime drama The Don of Dons. The Empty is his first shot at a horror movie. As one of the founders of Masterflow Productions, Escandon and his team have also worked on music videos and commercials and also work with art, design, games and more.

MORE ABOUT THE PRODUCTION
The movie is shot in a very gritty style from beginning to end. The apartment building where the movie is set was built entirely by the directors and producers along with the help of two actors. Everything was shot entirely in Miami, Florida.
One of the tragedies behind this movie was the death of director Ulises Franco, who died in a car accident once the film finished principal photography.
