This zine seeks to uphold and uplift these stories of solidarity and resistance; collect a history of these movements and work; and critique anti-Black racism in Asian communities, disrupting innocence and complicity with action. We resist racist ideas of Asian model minority, silence, and assimilation. This zine explore transnational relations, colonial histories, and the workings of globalization through understanding mixed race families and interracial partnerships as queering hegemonic frameworks of kinship and family. This zine highlights these intimate connections, community building, and future making to call Asian communities to action in refusing anti-Black racism and resisting white supremacy!
This zine is created by Quinn, Yulanda, Kaymi, and Ghada, four QTPOC students, writers, friends, and creators, on the unceded, ancestral, occupied, and stolen lands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Skwxwú7mesh, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations.
