damages the left wing of the building suffered the most due to a rocket impact on the roof. the interiors and electricity were damaged by rain and snow. a mine exploded in the yard, knocking out windows and damaging the facade

legacy of USSR the kindergarten was built in 1979 according to the standard project of the USSR 2C-04_25 (1966). dozens of such kindergartens have been built in many cities of Ukraine and they all need to be upgraded and adapted to the modern standards

capacity the base project capacity of the kindergarten is 240 places. the total number of children in 2021 was already 330 so the management of kindergarten made the adaptation of the floor layout to increase the number of groups
The soviet kindergarten is gray, typical, cramped and uncomfortable.

renovation the reconstruction of the kindergarten consist of 4 components: landscaping, renovation of facades, re-planning and new interior design, restoration and modernization of engineering system

colors we replace the gray colors of the soviet kindergarten and add a natural color palette. the choice of colors is based on Ukrainian aesthetics: white mazanka and thatched roof

custom-designed of perforated panels there are 6 areas without windows, measuring 7x7m on which we arrange perforated panels with a unique design. the design represents the name of the kindergarten in combination with the unique Ukrainian aesthetics

design code these design decisions can be used for the reconstruction of other typical soviet projects like 2C-04_25. the panel design code for each kindergarten will differ and bring a unique identity to the typical soviet facades

playgrounds we create a modern playground with a specific area dedicated to young nature enthusiasts. the project also introduces an amphitheater that can be used for performances, theater classes and workshops

technology installing modern energy-saving engineering equipment, solar panels, heat pumps and air conditioning. upgrading the HVAC system to correspond to modern needs. reducing the buildings maintenance cost. providing a safe and comfortable stay for children
bomb shelter the entrance to the shelter is currently unknown, the shelter is not used for its intended purpose, reconstruction is necessary: to restore engineering networks, to clear and make convenient for use, to clear the entrance.

ground floor on the ground floor we create a spacious entrance area, offices for administration and an indoor gym. we also propose to improve the children's groups by separating the spaces with sliding partitions (activity room & dormitory) and optimizing the wardrobes and staff rooms
