YUNCHAO TANG

Yunchao Tang has a cross-discipline academic background from landscape architecture (CAUP, Tongji University) and urban design (Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL) as well as a cross-culture background between eastern (China) and western (UK). He has worked in a famous Chinese enterprise practicing within the ambiguous field of urban design and landscape architecture. His graduation project for the Bachelor Degree, “Urban Planning & Design of Dayan Lake Area”, proposing landscape-oriented urbanism into China’s fast urbanization, is awarded as one of the outstanding design in the graduation design competition throughout China-“Yuan Ye Cup”. Along with his dissertation for M.arch Urban Design-“Relations between Object and Field”, his research into simulated dynamics with urban morphology has led his project in the Bartlett-“LOOP” to be approved and criticized as a distinguished research-based design project among the Urban Design clusters.
