SITE
The site is located in the center area of Hangzhou, China. As part of the Hua jiachi campus of Zhejiang UniversityďźŒit covers about 35.6 hactare. According to the city planning, the campus will be renovated as a comprehensive park to serve new residential districts, commercial centers and schools nearby.

WATER SYSTEM Water Drainage
The water system aims at making full use of the existed lake. By purifying the former eutrophic water and reuse it for recreation and irrigation, the lake would turn from a problem to an advantage of the park.

WATER QUALITY RESTORATION Bifurcation
Physical Purification
Waterfall and aeration stones increase dissolved oxygen in the water, making it more suitable for creatures.
Narrow channels slow down the flow velocity, and hence prolong the water contact time with soil and plants, getting better purification effect.
Plant Purification Reed, lotus, Pontederia, Sagittaria, Scirpus tabernaemontani and some other aquatic plants absorb nitrogen, phosphorus in the water;

Animal Purification Carnivours fishes eat small fishes to increase the amonut of plakton which could eat cyanobacteria.
Human Participation The wetland provides a good opportunity for environmental protection education, exploration and recreation.
