About me; It is Yunus, a dreamer, an art(ist)-admirer. I believe that art is in every details of life even the food we eat, the clothes we wear. Since architecture is the ‘art’ of designing and constructing buildings, the sense of creating and designing a piece is the most satisfaction to me. Architecture is about ideas, resolving problems, and finding solutions. Besides these architecture for me is to ‘create the place’ that i would love to be in. We perceive the space with all senses and the first sparkle in our memory is always the space we were in. Ideas are one of the most powerful viruses for people. Once you know or learn about something, you will have this idea in your mind forever. I rely on the growing equals to learning; when we stop learning, we also stop growing.

The Workshop aims at enchancing awareness around the logic process leading the architectural project through a general hypothesis that includes a knowing effort andi thereforei an analytic point of view. its relationship to history, context and landscape. The processes that lead the architectural project to become a potential tool for the valorisation and the preservation of local identities and land specificities will be investigated, in order to acknowledge the link between the culture of a place and the future of its inhabitants. Every day we all wake up, work, travel, learn, argue, fall in love. And, at least three times a day, we decide what to eat. (at times even four) Our relationship with food has effects on the environment, the economy, and society. "we can view food as adhering to the same practices as language because food is a code that can express patterns about social relationships. “ The Project aims intercultural interaction between all the people and using the food as a “tool” of communication.

Dubailion

The starting point is a “ramp” because attributing “rising dubai”. Dubailion is a pavilion which has exhibition of development of Dubai. Designing a ramp for vertical circulation makes the pavilion is for everyone. Basic arabic tent form has one large space covering by fabric and shelter. Going deep with that arabic tent concept, faced with namadic yurt structure which has covered by wooden structure beared by vertical elements. Referring to the Arabic Desert, the facade of the pavilion used traditional construction material wood, which has sustainable, energy efficient, zero emission of CO2 and high esthetical value and it can be also symbolizes nature(the forest). Natural outlook of our pavilion represents its identity. Referring to development of Dubai with technology, to have contrast between interior and exterior. Since the exterior of Dubailion is natural wooden element, interior is all dark and full of LED screen to exhibit the development datas.

till the Door

“Everywhere is outside until the door of apartment“ Gio Ponti Since the program is “New Ageing Cities: Designing urban and housing solutions for all”, the idea is to live the space where the inhabitants can feel free and breathe. Considering the habits and greening of the city, potential scenographic semi-private green ‘behind the fence’ typology -as we can say- is commonly used. That is why the importance of greening facades are focused. The master plan shaped according to materials that already given by the city such as green axis, pattern of solids and the surrounding buildings. Site is designed as multifunctional complex including housing, residence, common spaces and exhibition. Focusing on the housing, The Complex has designed by modules which inhabitants can change however they want while the life goes on and enlarging the family.

THE GROWING CONNECTION

The Growing Connection

Greco is a railway yard in the North-Eastern side of Milan, which connects the inner city to the Northern outer corridor. The main objective of the project is to complete the system of the green areas, which includes Parco Nord, Parco della Martesana and the programmed green of Sesto San Giovanni. In order to achieve this, the project area had to be included in this system, therefore it developed as a public parc, due to the big potential of the existing green. This action lead to the change of the main road on the same side as the railway, so the two fragmented areas could be united and at the same time the problem of the straight and narrow existing road, which didnt work properly, could be solved. Relating to the inhabitants’ opinions concerning the lack of public buildings, developing a cultural center was an important aspect of the project, which has been included in the student housing system. Keeping the esisting residential buildings and the Cascina was helpful in developing a housing system with private green yards connected to the newly organised orchards. The existing underground passage arriving on the newly designed shared space square lead to the design of a new station. The project is a green system which integrates public and private functions properly and creates a unitary area of the and related to the neighborhood.

Urban Campus

The “Urban Campus”, which started with a symbolic and meaningful monument-tree, since the green is gradually decreasing in the country lately. It is a civic center designed to tell you that green and concrete are so intertwined, but on the other hand is dedicated to gigantic green spaces. Making gaps more valuable and adding meaning, providing access to the main square from the gaps. Make it a square to use for more specific and cultural reasons rather than a square that people use to shorten the road as they pass by. A living square design. A Civic center that will be the city’s focus and cultural spot.

Challinging of the existing green axis is the issue. Dealing with green axis which divides the city into two parts with interruption by concrete blocks, is the main case of the project. The main concept is the embed all the functions to the underground to keeping the green axis as it is supposed to be. Main building of the complex is build on the ground to refer the existing planetarium. Each Studio part has their own cortyards designed according to own requirements, such as lighting for visual arts. Creating a valley to distribution of the functions and meeting point as courtyard.

Stadium Memorial

Defined the boundaries of the square by protecting the direction of the green axis extending from the Democracy Square which is dividing the city into two. Used the sustainability of both light and heat energy with the wavy form provided in these platforms. It is stuck at the other end and goes out to the ground a little later as a landmark. This monument, which may be the new symbol of the city, will form a cruise area on the upper floors. It also brings a new breath to the way of existing culture. It is possible to observe Gaziantep from the place where the green ends by passing over the wander platform over the bridge and going to the cruising point. Beside all of these, defined the spaces that are formed under the platform we used as walking paths with various functions. Described the space on the facade facing the archaeological museum as a museum of modern art and exhibition space to create contrast.
