Sure, you can be born into wealth or fame, be discovered or find a great mentor early on and have access to better tools than the average person; it happens every day, but chances are that you are not. So, how can you create your own luck? I didn’t get my first great mentor with an access to great tools in my field until about one year ago. While you may think that some people are “lucky” from the start, the thing you should know is that you can pretty much generate your own luck.

But then again, all is relative. Having Luck could entail anything from discovering money on the ground to have the life you want. I do believe that the first secret, the first step in creating your own luck is to start thinking like a lucky individual and to expect luck and success in what you want to accomplish. And the second step is to realize that luck doesn’t really occur, because the harder you work and the more you get out of your comfort zone, the more “luck” you will have in the form of opportunities that weren’t there before. This kind of luck creates valued or enjoyable things that are not looked for and it is called Serendipity.
Serendipity Brings Luck your Way Unlucky people seem to be dull and repetitive, having the same routine. Day after day, they proceed by taking the same itinerary to and from the store, work or in anything else that they do. They have conversations with the same kind of people wherever they go. While in comparison, numerous lucky people often attempt to bring more diversity into their existence. For instance, before going to meet friends at a gathering, you could think of a color and while being there, acquaint yourself with people wearing that color. These different types of manners and actions increase the probability of unplanned opportunities by bringing diversity. I met plenty of people that were born into wealth, the “never had to work a day in their lives” types and now as adults they are lost. On the other hand, I know other people that put their all into the hustle and create their own luck. They understand their purpose; they are living the good life and creating luck for others. Understand that if you want to have more room for serendipity, the more flexible your schedule, the better. It means that if you have very little time for your pastimes, hobbies, or to discover new things, then you have much less ability for “luck”.
How to Create your Own Luck Successful people are individuals who are creating their own good fortune, continually setting milestone goals to reach what they want, and work like hell, day in and day out, to get it. So, make a plan and execute. Identify problems areas and fix. Do the work and you’ll get results. Family and friends usually try to keep you in a comfort zone because they care, but most of the time, not to your advantage. “Lucky” people believe that they are and expect to be lucky. Remember, it costs nothing to create your own luck, change your mindset or think like a successful person. But to do this and be successful, you may need to make a few changes.
Some Tips used by the Successful “Luck” Creators: Pick a color before a party and introduce yourself to people wearing that color. Talk to new people at a gathering. Read an unusual and random publication or newspaper. Do your shopping in a new store or a different one. Get dressed and go walk outside. Take trivial risks to experience positive outcomes known as good luck. Wander and explore places in your city or elsewhere and enjoy the moment. Break your routines every so often. It means new experiences and helps you become "lucky".

Place many small fun wages to get out of your comfort zone. Invest yourself by reading and learning new things each day. Embrace changes. Your personal twists of fate and passions could very well lead you to the results you like. You might find that some of these changes work wonders for you, because to create your own luck and have success, you need to live a few years of your life like most people won’t, so that you can spend the rest of your life like most people can’t.
