The most caring and successful people I have known in my life have all experienced misery, known failures, and suffered sorrow, and yet, they have found a way out which filled them with such profound wisdom and kindness. But how can you gain such gratitude and understanding of life?

Well, these people aren’t born this way; they develop these qualities gradually over time.

Usually our burdens come from difficult situations, a job, colleagues, relationships or generally from the world around us. Sadly, it makes us feel totally broken and we believe that we are not good enough. As a young child, I often felt this way, because my father was a very abusing person. Each day, he would hit me as soon as I would come back from school. At those times, I felt such despair but then the relief came as my parents divorced and I returned with my mother to the former Soviet Union. Every time I thought I was being rejected from something good, I was actually being re-directed to something better – Steve Maraboli.

Not Good Enough No one can do better than you because most of the time, the insecurity you struggle with is the comparison you make with someone else’s life. Get rid of those thoughts. Follow and accomplish your own path. Life is about breaking your own boundaries and living a better life. Failures need to be considered as stepping stones, learning curves, and lessons. Enjoy your journey, even when there are forks in the road; success is never a straight line. Never waste a day thinking you are not good enough. Remember that your present situation is an essential step and where you are right now, believe it or not, is where you need to be to get to where you should be tomorrow. It will all gradually flow together. Tough times come and go. Pain hurts and changes you. Forget what hurt you, but never forget what it taught you. It is called growth. Go with life, instead of resisting it.

Nothing is Impossible Anything you accomplish comes at first by attempting something. You need to try to know that you are good enough. If you don’t, in ten years’ time you will regret the things you didn’t do much more than the things you did do. Go and make an opportunity. Nothing is impossible. There is a difference between school and life. In school, you are taught a lesson and then given a test, when in life, you are given a test that teaches you a lesson. Take it as a blessing in disguise. Don’t think you are not good enough just because yesterday was bad. Don’t worry about what could happen. Don’t focus on what you don’t want, focus on what you desire. Use all of your drive and aptitude to move forward. The quality of your life is driven by what you visualize and focus on. If you have a dream, go for it and explore the option.

Stay True to Yourself When will you stop listening to what everyone says? Who is living your life, you or them? You, then stay true to yourself because there are only a few people in this world who will stay 100% true to you. If you accept your worries as true, you will never growth past them. In giving yourself no other choice, you may create feats of great magnitude. Why think you are not good enough? Quit worrying and stop complaining. Do what you must do. Reject other people to think, talk, or choose for you. Learn to use your intuition and intellect for things to happen. Do the work. Earn respect and love yourself because you are a miracle of life. You are responsible, above all, to see your own value.

More than Good Enough 2/3

Success is consistently applying your focused effort on what you desire so that it may become the natural outcome. You have no problem doing something when it means the world to you. Then why not commit and persist. There are many chapters in your life. You had one bad chapter, so what? It’s not the end. Turn the page. Life does not have to be perfect to be beautiful. Sometimes smiling about it just means you’re intelligent enough to admit it and make the best of it. You have scars. Okay, move beyond them. Think about a scar like a tattoo of victory. Change the way you look at them. Start seeing your scars as a sign of strength and not suffering. See them as a symbol that you conquered the pain, learned a lesson, got stronger, and moved on.
