What sense is there if you don’t put your ideas or what you know into some kind of action?

Why people have such a desire to start a business or have a life of some kind, and yet do not take any step to ever begin? Regrettably, without action there are no results whatsoever.

This truth is so obvious, but for many, knowing it is not enough to make a dierence. Taking action generally means stepping out of your comfort zone. When you want to create your dreams, you suddenly feel like you have to place yourself into a situation of risk, disappointment, as well as a possibility of rejection and humiliation.

Many people would better have an ordinary life by not taking the actions needed to have the results wanted, than to have a dream life because they need to get out there, be fearless, take action, and experience the failures that often lead to success if they only tried consistently.

It is the major mistake people do make when trying to improve their lives. And that is sad! Because if you want to have big results in your life, whatever it is, you must do something. So if you desire a life of freedom and express your creativity, you need to be ready for a new way of living and being.

Get a New Way of Living.

By this I mean, you will need discipline and focus to do things others are not willing to see to, set goal plans so as to achieve them and turn into an effective leader in charge of your future instead of helping someone else create their plan.

It will result in devoting late nights, getting up early, learning a new field, being dedicated, never giving up, mastering your niche, eat healthy, and also having family time and regular exercise.

No One Else will do it for You. The sooner you know that nobody will do it for you the faster you will improve in your life. Individual accountability is indispensable to improve and better your own life. Without action, it will stay a dream or a random activity that will guide you nowhere.

Often times, people blame their problems and lack of success on a situation or someone else they say wasted their time and energy. You can perhaps find some support from family, friends, books or articles, but remember that “your” life is yours only and it is up to you to create the existence you want to live.

Use the Knowledge acquired.

If you are, like most of us, surrounded by negative inputs such as TV, the news or the people around you, reading or listening to positive and useful things can surely help you improve. Every evening or when travelling, I personally have the habit of reading a biographical or improvement book rather than watching television.

But please, do not fool yourself into believing that reading will replace any action. Reading will give you knowledge but will not take care of your situation as if you had a magic wand. Reading is a pleasurable time of learning and that is it. So do not hope for a magic wand to make your problems disappear.

Without Action there are no Results.

As you read, you may think that you understand things, but it is not until you experience it that you really understand, isn’t it? The knowledge you acquire in reading helps you avoid mistakes and improve faster but it cannot relate the feel of the real experience.

It is when you begin taking action that you may discover things are portrayed differently in real life. Books often depict a follow or step process to get the outcomes but it is not authentic. Well, it is the fun part of living life rather than just reading about it.

Nurture your Self-Esteem.

What do you believe is the right thing? And I am not talking about what your family, friends, supervisors or society believe is the right thing to do, but what you believe. It usually comes through a gut feeling. Creating and making a habit stick is taking action each day that God gives and do the things to get the results you desire.

But it is also very important to nurture you self-esteem and keep believing in yourself and your capacities. A usual question I get on forums is “How can I get more self-esteem?” I frequently answer that by taking action and repeating these activities consistently, not just once or twice, is a huge piece of the solution. Because when you take action repeatedly on uneasy things instead of staying safe in your comfort zone, your self-worth and esteem of yourself increase.

Your existence is not limitless. A year or ten years from now you may wish you had started today.

Recognize that without action there are no results, and that your time is a vital thing in your life. Don’t waste such a big part of it. Begin taking action towards the results you really desire today.
