TYXIA 4811

No

Load type configuration: RLC or C ? When the product detects a C load, it is not necessary to configure it manually. However, in this mode, the product uses the charge booster function (useful for low consumption bulb-it goes to 100% when turned on before going to the last dimmable position).

LED flickering even after maximum and minimum configuration : check the max and minimum level have been set at the final use location of the Tyxia 4840 (if it’s been moved after the setting, it might cause this default). It is possible that the LEDs start dimming after around 1h of functioning. In this case the max and minimum must be set when the load is “warm”.

CENTRAL UNIT

The alarm system is used to monitor a home by means of intrusion detectors (infrared, dual technology or door/window magnetic contacts, etc.) and technical defect detectors (smoke, water, mains power failure, etc.). The system is activated or deactivated by means of a remote control, a keypad or badge reader, a telephone transmitter or according to the weekly programming of a touch screen keypad. The alarm is signalled : • by the internal siren of the control unit, • and/or by an associated siren (indoor or outdoor), • and/or using an associated transmitter, to another telephone or a remote monitoring operator, The system is fully battery operated. It has 2 removable lenses: • n° 1: standard (fitted on the product supplied). • n° 2: animal immunity (does not detect animals up to a certain size, or household appliances such as robot vacuum cleaners). To use the video function, you must have a TYDOM 2.0 device. This function enables : • confirmation via video. DMBV TYXAL+ records intrusions on video. A link to the video is sent via SMS. • night-time confirmation with infrared LED. The burglar is unaware that they are being caught on camera. With the TYDOM application, you will be able to activate the video function remotely (available in October 2015).

Video angle ? 90 degrees.

Location Do not install DMBV TYXAL+ • close to or opposite a source of heat, • opposite a front/back door or a window, • outdoors or in a draughty location. DMBV TYXAL+ must be installed: • so that it can catch a moving intruder on camera (avoid hallways and busy areas), • in a location clear from any obstacle (curtain, wardrobe, etc.), • at a height between 2.20 m and 2.50 m. Above 2.50 m, the RO TYXAL+ ball joint should be used, P/N 6416221 (incompatible with the animal lens, not covered by NF&A2P certification). You can cross the beams of 2 detectors.

It’s important you respect the order of the following step to ensure the good operating of the video function. The video function of the alarm system is provided by an infrared motion detector and DMBV TYXAL+ video associated with a TYDOM 2.0 transmitter. These 2 products must also be associated with the system. If an intruder is detected, an alarm is triggered and takes a 5-second video. A link to play this video is automatically sent by SMS to the number or numbers programmed in the CLT 8000 TYXAL+ touch screen keypad.

Location Locations to avoid

DFR TYXAL

+

Do not install the detector : • Within a metre from vents for heating, cooling or circulating air. The smoke could be blown away from the detector or be diluted. • In a place where the temperature could drop beneath 0°C or rise above +50°C; risk of detector not working correctly. • In a place where there is a risk of condensation. Bathrooms and laundry rooms are not recommended. • Places where smoke could gather (kitchen or poorly ventilated garage) and cause false alarms. • In a place that is excessively dusty.

Does it send both a beginning and end of detection signal ? Yes.

Can it be used with Rollia X3D radio motors ? Yes.

Can it be used with a REP repeater to control an automation (Tyxia) receiver?

Recommended locations in the home: • For enhanced protection : - Place a detector in each room, avert using listed places to avoid. • For basic protection : - Place a detector on each floor. - Place a detector close to sleeping areas (for example, in the corridor leading to rooms; in the case of a long corridor > 10m, place 1 detector at each end). - Place a detector in each bedroom occupied by a smoker.

Yes (Rep works in autonomous).

OK

Do not try to trigger the alarm any other way (using a lighter, etc.) because you could damage the detector or even start a fire. Your detector has been designed to require the minimum maintenance possible. However, some simple actions need to be performed once a year. After having removed the detector : • Clean the cracks in the detector (located on the side) with a vacuum cleaner, using a soft brush or a vacuum cleaner accessory. • Use a slightly damp cloth to clean the outside of the case. It is recommended that the detector be replaced after 10 years.

Bedroom

Kitchen

Functional check and maintenance You must check that your detector is functional once a month or after each battery change. Pressing the “test” button on the case for a few seconds will light up the LED and the detector will emit 2 beeps.

Recommended locations in the room: • The detector should preferentially be attached to the ceiling in the middle of the room. Otherwise, attach it more than 20cm from any obstacle (partition wall, beam, etc.) and over 60cm from any room corner. • If this is impossible, attach the detector to the wall at a distance of between 15 and 25cm from the ceiling. 60 cm 15-25 • In the case of an angled ceiling, attach the detector at a cm location between 20 and 90 cm vertically below the highest point.

REP TYXAL+

SEF TYXAL+

The repeater must be associated with a DELTA DORE X3D wireless alarm system or with a TTRTC or TTGSM TYXAL+ transmitter or an Si TYXAL+ siren.

In the event of intrusion, the siren’s loud noise will raise the alert. For easy location purposes, the siren has a flashing light. It is designed for outdoor use.

Location The repeater must be installed midway between the alarm control unit and the product or products to repeat. OK OK

Location Install the outdoor siren where it will be protected from bad weather conditions, out of immediate reach to prevent any tampering, at a height for optimum sound diffusion and on a level surface.

Maximum number of products per repeater ? 16, including 1 space compulsorily used by the central unit.

Maximum number of repeater per system installation ? 1 repeater maximum.

Siren sound level and functioning (flash/siren) can be configured from the CLT 8000 keypad using the installer code. Please refer to installer/user guides for further information.

Autonomy in case of power supply failure It varies significantly depending on 3 factors : • Number of products in the system. • Number of products whose signal must be repeated. • Category of product whose signal must be repeater : functionality of some products requires more power than others.

What Tyxal+ products are compatible ? REP Tyxal+ is compatible with the whole of Tyxal+ range.

Does it work with DFR ? Yes (even to repeat a connection with an automation receiver, REP works in autonomous mode too).

Does it work specifically with Automation and Heating receivers ? No, it repeats only Alarm X3D signal. Use ERX1000 or ERX2000 for other uses. 126
