YILDIRIM BEYAZIT UNIVERSITY ECE 203 - ELECTRICAL CIRCUITS LABORATORY MANUAL – 5 – BASIC APPLICATIONS OF OPERATIONAL AMPLIFIERS – PART1 Laboratory Exercise: In this laboratory you will construct and observe basic OP-AMP circuits. You will use LM741 OP-AMP. The pin layout of LM741 is given in Figure 1.
Figure 1: LM741 Pin Layout The 1st, 5th and 8th pin of LM741 will be left open while constructing your circuits. LM741 inner OPAMP connections are shown in Figure 2.

1) Construct the circuits on Figure 3, Figure 4, Figure 5, Figure 6 and Figure 7. Plot Vout(t) and Vin(t) on the same graph for each circuit (i.e. total of 5 graphs). Explain what each circuit does, in other words
explain how the output behaves with respect to input signal. Vin(t) is 1Vpp with frequency: 500Hz and supply voltage is +12V and -12V for circuits in part 1.

2) Construct the circuit on Figure 8. Plot Va(t) and Vout on same graph. Va(t) is 2Vpp with frequency: 500Hz, Vb(t) is 1Vpp with frequency: 500Hz and Vc(t) is 1Vpp with frequency: 500Hz.

3) Derive the output vs. inputs equation for the circuit on Figure 8 for ideal OP-AMP case.
