YWAM India King’s Way Base

It has been more than a decade since our YWAM India King’s Way base has started. And early this year, our headquarter team (North Delhi) had an idea to produce our ‘base newsletter’ purely to share our news within not only for ourselves, but for our friends, family, and supporters also. We believe this Newsletter will bring communication within the staffs and our supporters to bring idea what is happening in King’s Way family as we are getting bigger and broader.

VOLUME

We now have total 7 bases (N. Delhi, W. Delhi, G. Noida, Assam, Manipur, Nagaland, Kolkata) sharing the word of God to bring glory to the Lord in Northern region of India. It is our first step, so please do enjoy and give us ideas to improve on the next version of this Newsletter. God bless you all. -Editing Team(April, 2011)

.news The Revival Meeting / January 10~13, 2011 It was at Parish Hall of Immanuel Baptist Church, Delhi, which we held our yearly mega-size program called ‘Revival Meeting’ with our children from Children Ministry and Zion Church members from Church Planting Ministry. It was our fifth Revival Meeting alone for full 4 days this year. From 10th to 12th, more than 3,500(!) children from slum area Revival Meeting, January came to participate on our Revival Meeting, which they came from 20 tuitions schools from our Children Ministry. 7 outreach teams from South Korea and Germany performed worship, dance and drama on the stage, and speaker Esther Rai, who is a New Delhi Mercy Ministry leader, shared the gospel throughout the program for children. Pastor David Osmond shared the word of God on the last day of program to members of Zion Church, Church Planting team’s cell group members, teachers of Children Ministry, and students of Tabitha Center; a Stitching Ministry. It was surely a time of refreshment and a spiritual growth for all the participants. There were many financial difficulties from preparation period, but God fulfilled all our needs as we truly trusted in Him. Leadership Seminar / February 28~March 4, 2011 Vijay Koirala, the North India Regional Director, led us a King’s Way Newsletter

2011 Spring Edition

.testimony We’ve launched the first ever Hindi & English bilingual DTS (Discipleship Training School) in West Delhi this year 17th of January which will go on till 14th of June. Everything was a big challenging for us to start but it is more fun experiencing the grace of God is awesome, the housing was tremendously provided with three floors and enough rooms to share for around 22 of us. The finance was gracefully met all our needs for the lecture phase and for the outreach phase. The students are very unique with every different qualities and personalities – we began with 11 students but 3 of them can’t make it for the outreach. At a moment including staff 13 of them are in the outreach in 3 location with 3 teams, and will I be soon joining with them; Agra, Bhutan, and Uttrakhand. As the mission go on, please continue to pray for us to witness the Kingdom of God. Blessings, Athan (West Delhi DTS leader)

One day God spoke to our ministry leaders about moving out to a new location. The place where we lived for last three years was not bad and we needed a strong reason to move. What God spoke to our leaders was that there will be another chapter of Greater Noida base ministry: through one month chain fasting God convinced the ministry leaders about women leadership development which we didn't do so good job with and that we have immediately start from new location. God also gave us an understanding about the expansion of the ministries along with learning about integrity. All we felt seriously about integrity, since we believed that it is the key to shaping Christian character especially as we must become the good model to other Christians and non believers in the community. Finally we moved in to two new buildings that King’s Way Newsletter

are huge and expensive. There are still lots of empty rooms and space, and you may ask how we are going to fill this place with people and how we are going to manage finance. But all our staff are very excited because of the things that God clearly spoke to us. They are about the big picture of His Kingdom that will be built in this city through our various ministries and they are also about the people's life that will be transformed through our services. Although we merely see the empty buildings now, we pray and dream that God would make our base overflow with people and blessings to bless the community and the world in near future. Praise be to our God for His grace on Greater Noida base! In Him, Shik (Greater Noida base leader)
