Thisprojectfocusedonthedevelopmentandrealizationofinteriorspatial transformationsthroughresearch-leddesignpractice.Theclientbeingnaturecentriccompany'Oxman',theproposalaimstohealtheseparationbetween humansandnaturethroughbiophilicandsensorydesign.
ThisprojectinvolvedredesigningtwolevelsoftheUNSWColombohouse studentaccommodation.Aspectswhichhadtobeconsideredweresunpath, noisereduction,inclusivity,achievingacross-culturecommunityandprice ranges.Eachfloorconsistsofarangeofcommunalareas,alongwithvarying studentroomtypes.Theseroomsincludedoublerooms,singlerooms,anda deluxeoptionforboth.
Thebriefforthisprojectwastodesignapopup barinHydeparkwithachosenclient.Theclient, being'backbar'inCollingwood,hasastrong emphasisondarkandambientlighting,solighting choiceswerecrucial.Thedesignincorporates pendantlighting,halolighting,covelighting,as wellasalightuponyxcounter.
BACK BAR - HYDE PARK PROJECT
InresponsetocurrentissuesintheAustralianretailsector,thisprojectrequiredthedesignofaretail spaceforemergingaustralianfashiondesigners.Thegoalwastocreateanarrativeofsustainability throughmateriality,lighting,colour,andfurnishings.Thedesignemphasisessustainabilitythrough lighting,aseachpieceoflightingonlyturnsonwhenneeded.
Thissetofdrawingsdemonstratethefundamentaltechniquesandcomponentsinvolvedintheconstructionoftimberfloors,wallsandroofs. Thedrawingsillustratetechnicallysoundstructuresthatfollowcommontechniquesusedinthedevelopmentoftimberarchitecture.
