What IATA Cargo Introductory Course Covers •

Live Animal Regulations : The LAR provides the most current and efficient requirements as well as practices for your live animal transport and operations, developed in consultation with International Organ izations and government authorities. Perishable Cargo Regulations : The PCR provides an essential reference guide for all parties involved in the packaging and handling of perishables products, as well as the most up-to-date related operational requirements. ULD Regulations : The ULDR contains both technical and operational standard specifications, as well as regulatory and airline requirements applicable to overall ULD operations. Temperature Control Regulations : The TCR provides the requirements and standards for the transportation and handling of time and temperature sensitive healthcare products, including pharmaceutical product information based on WHO guidelines. Cargo Services : Cargo services issues encompassing standards and procedures for (electronic) air waybill, including the AWB conditions of contract, Industry Master Operating Plan, cargo EDI message standards, and more. Pre - Requisite for Air Cargo Introductory :  Reading, writing, and speaking in the English language.  Good foundation of basic mathematics.  Knowledge of World Geography

- Industry Regulations, ICAO-IATA-FIATA - The Air Cargo Agency, The IATA Cargo Agent, The Consolidator - World Geography, IATA -3letter codes, Time differences, Calculation of transportation times - Use of Guides, The ABC Air Cargo Guide, The OAG Air Cargo Guide - Aircraft, Bulk Loading Limitations, Unit Load Devices (ULD) - Handling Facilities, Aircraft and cargo terminal facilities - Air Cargo Acceptance - Cargo Booking Procedures - Cargo Automation - Cargo Rates and Charges, Application of TACT (The Air Cargo Tariff ) - The Air Waybill, Completion -Labeling and Marking


This course requires approximately 160 -200 recommend ed hours of SELF study before exam attempts

All candidates will be given 2 attempts to successfully complete the final exam. Exam Format: (Computer base Assessment) Multiple Choice questions. Closed Text Book, the TACT and OAG training editions are required during the exam Number of questions: 100 Time Allowance: 3 hours ( 180 minutes ) Passing Grade: 60 correct answers Distinction Grade: 90 correct answers
