Each year, Zachary’s helps our local 5th graders show their mothers just how special they are with a Mother’s Day Jewelry Design Contest. This year’s winning designer explained how her grandmother lived with her family for eight years before she passed away from cancer. Our winner’s design was inspired by the paper cranes her sister made that used to hang from her grandmother’s ceiling. “She loved to watch them sway in the breeze,” she says.

Paper cranes are very sentimental to her own mother now, who cherishes them as a symbol of her mom.
