Awards Goal awards have been created to recognize those Upper School students who, in their day to day interactions with their teachers and their peers, exemplify the ideals which Holy Child schools hold most dear. These students strive every day to live out the values of Cornelia Connelly. We would like to congratulate these students for their dedication and commitment to the Holy Child mission. Goal 1: Faith Students who receive this award dedicate themselves to fostering a faith commitment that engenders a personal response to God in addressing the challenges of the world.* Goal 2: Community Students who receive this award dedicate themselves to deepening an understanding of Christian community by living, learning, and worshiping as a dynamic Christian community.* Goal 3: Curriculum Students who receive this award embrace creative, intellectual challenge, fostering a love of learning and academic excellence for themselves and others.* Goal 4: Justice Students who receive this award dedicate themselves to working for Christian principles of justice, peace, and compassion in every facet of life.* Goal 5: Dignity Students who receive this award dedicate themselves to creating a learning climate based on trust and reverence for the dignity and uniqueness of each person. Goal 6: Fulfillment Students who receive this award dedicate themselves to personal growth and the development of all who participate in the life of the school.* Public Service Award Presented by the state of Maryland to a senior in recognition of community service. The Student Council Award presented to a senior for outstanding participation in all aspects of school life. Recipient is chosen by the members of the Student Council. The Prize for General Academic Excellence presented to the senior who has achieved the highest grade average over four years. Recipient is chosen on the basis of GPA. The Award for Leadership in Christian Social Action presented for the quality named. * The Karen Elizabeth Noonan Award presented to a senior for outstanding community service.*

The Cornelia Connelly Award presented to the graduate who has exhibited Holy Child spirit by participation in school activities and a spirit of service to others and has demonstrated a special appreciation of the Fine Arts.* Kosch/Craig Award the highest award given by the athletic department, is named after two woman (Mary Kosch and Sr Connie Craig) who dedicated their lives to Holy Child. This award is given to the sportswoman who is enthusiastic and dedicated to athletics, hardworking, and exhibits leadership and embodies the spirit of Holy Child. Alumnae Association Award presented to the senior who has exemplified generosity of spirit and personal growth together with a genuine concern for others during her years at Holy Child.* Christian Valor Award presented to a senior who reflects God’s Word and Love despite adversity, and who exemplified Christian character despite significant obstacles and has proven the ability to rise above hardship, exhibiting strength and courage. The Sr. Connie Craig Award presented to a senior who in her daily life exemplifies the spirit of the holy child, simplicity, humility, charity and joy. Recipient is chosen by Sr. Connie. The Cardinal Hickey Award presented to a senior in recognition of leadership, contribution to the common good, and participation in church, school, and community activities.* The Mary C. Crivella Prize our most distinguished award which is given to the graduate who has exhibited outstanding character, service, and loyalty to the school over four years.* *Recipient is chosen by faculty vote.
