Thank you for your commitment to the children, youth, and aging adults who call Fowler ‘home’. Together, we are Framing the Future of Fowler for the next 130 years. As we care for the elders who shaped our past, we invest in the future of vulnerable children who are the leaders of tomorrow. Your generosity transforms lives and provides for their greatest needs, such as:

• A safe and loving home with nutritious food

• Quality health services and innovative dementia care and education

• Supportive spiritual enrichment and chaplaincy

• Additional residences for middle-income seniors, filling a gap in housing

Your generosity brings love to children who have experienced trauma, changes the life-course of youth, and nurtures the spirit and dignity of aging adults.

You are a giver of hope. Thank you!

How your gifts transform the lives of the Fowler family, your other family…

We are excited to grow the Fowler Family with the addition of The Peak. This 144-apartment community is designed for the “The Forgotten Middle” – middle income seniors. The Peak will utilize a Service Coordinator staffing model perfected at Fowler Christian Apartments to assist residents in the navigation of healthcare and securing supportive services, ensuring the benefit of life enriching connections.

Like many young girls, Yensi loved to read, hang out with friends, and play sports. However, Yensi had to learn to care for herself and her sister at a young age until they were separated in foster care. As a young adult, she struggled to maintain housing and juggle education. Thankfully, Yensi found the Ebby House. She is taking care of her health, working at Fowler, and thriving in community college. A recipient of the Martha Jo Scholarship which is funded by a Fowler donor, Yensi has discovered a love for learning that she never thought was an option for her. She made the honor roll this semester and we are so proud of her.

Dorothy moved to Dallas from New Mexico in 1940, worked as legal secretary for over 40 years, and sang in the choir at First Baptist Church Dallas each Sunday. Single with few relatives, Dorothy gained a large family when she moved to Fowler in 2012. Dorothy now lives in Worth Memory Care where she engages daily in the I’m Still Here® programming, enjoying the Reading Club, dominoes, Artful Awakenings art class, gardening, and Cooking Club! You can hear Dorothy singing at the Wednesday Worship Service, designed for our friends with dementia. Dorothy is thriving from living in community and receiving love and support from her Fowler Family.

Soul Chikopa, Charge Nurse at Pearl Nordan Care Center, has worked at Fowler for 10 years. “I have never worked at a place with so much support.” Soul and his team members have the tools and training to provide excellent care and the highest quality of life for our elders and as a result, they are fulfilled by their life’s work. “Fowler believes in me, and I believe in what we do. I am proud to be a contributing member of the Fowler Family,” shared Soul. Thank you for supporting Soul and the entire Fowler team in their daily efforts to love people, pursue excellence and make a difference.
