Plum crumble

PLUM CRUMBLE Serves 6

70g plain flour 50g brown sugar ½ tsp cinnamon A pinch of salt 45g cold unsalted butter, cubed 8-10 ripe plums, pitted and quartered

Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream

1 Preheat the oven to 190˚C/170˚C fan/gas mark 5. 2 Sift the flour, sugar, cinnamon and salt into a large mixing bowl. 3 Add the butter and rub it into the flour mixture with your hands, until it forms a crumble. 4 Place the plums in the dish and top with the crumble. Bake for one hour or until the crumble is golden and the mixture is bubbling. Serve hot with ice cream or whipped cream on the side.
