Memory Pensieve of Shenzhen City Jan 2019
What will we lose when we focus on urban development? How can we preserve the memory of the city through architecture?
38 representative buildings of different times in Shenzhen were collectted, and the architectural elements are extracted and put into a square boundary. These architectural elements are transformed into silhouette, which is used as the keywords of each buildings. Reorganize these keywords. Take them as the front view, the side view and the top view of the unpreditable blocks. Then those new blocks are redefined with different characters.

In the past, Shenzhen was just a small and poor fishing village. In just 40 years, it has become such a metropolis. This fast transformation is what we call the "Shenzhen speed" .

In Kandingsky's Point and Line to Plane, he finds a balance among different elements, which is very similar to Shenzhen today. There are all kinds of skyscrapers in Shenzhen. Some people say Shenzhen has lost its personality, but maybe this is its personality---independent, tolerant, and balanced. Therefore, maybe there is a way to build something on top of an existing building. Because Shenzhen has a variety of architectural personalities, this design attempts to use the existing buildings in Shenzhen to explore the possibility of building a youth activity center.

The architect's studio is located in an ancient village in Guangzhou, facing the ancient Lingnan architecture, the Jian's Ancestral Hall. The intention of this design is to create a multi-functional composite space that allows for the operation of the design studio while also allowing outside visitors to come in for tours, exhibitions, and coffee. The design approach starts by deconstructing the carvings on the front façade of the ancestral temple, creating an exterior space that conflicts with the surrounding environment. I believe that the dialogue between the conflicting outdoor space and the site will bring greater value.

Park Design Growing Park Jan 2020 Every cell was born to grow and is dependent on each other. A park that "grows" from the ground is destined to have a connection with the ground and its users.
Outdoor Music Theatre
The whole park feels like a scene from Annihilation, so the creatures intertwine, fuse and grow together as one, symbolizing the beginning of new human life.

Flok Museum Design Childhood Paper Airplane Dec 2018 We tend to think that folk museums exist only because they can let young people understand the lives of older people. But in fact, the people who are most likely to visit folk museums are the older people. For them, the items on display are everything they had when they were kids. Therefore, I use "paper plane", a typical toy in older people’s childhood, to connect people from different generations.
Residential Design
The Forest Under The Puzzle May 2019
I came up with a solution to solve the problem of the low utilization rate of residential areas in China today. We can create commercial areas in the underground garages to take advantage of the underground spaces. By doing this, we can have the possibility to create an open community while not affecting local residents’ living conditions.

The uppers and insoles are printed by FDM, and the midsole and sole are printed by SLA. In a real sense, all shoes are printed by 3d printing.Perhaps in the future, all-shoe printing will become possible.
