WATSON and CRICK
WATSON and CRICK James Watson and Francis Crick were the co-discoverers of the structure (and therefore, the function) of DNA. They based their model on the research of several other scientists, and won the Nobel Prize in chemistry for their work.

LYN MARGULIS SERIAL ENDOSYMBIOTIC THEORY
Margulis is best known for her theory about how eukaryotic cells (cells with nuclei) evolved. She believed that they are the result of an ancient symbiosis among bacteria, so that mitochondria and chloroplasts are the descendants of what were once free-living cells.
