Basically, aim for these numbers daily. If you aren't getting results, you might cut back by another hundred or so. Exercise and activity are also important. Be sure that you start an exercise program of some sort. For many who haven't done much in years, a simple walking program done consistently can provide some great results. The point is to start moving and continue challenging yourself. This does not have to be a 4 hour a day cardio and weight routine. Keep it simple and keep moving.
