Intelligent Skins Design Studio:
Mk.2
Mk.3 Front
The first project for this studio was to create facade prototype that would respond or address and environmental condition of either, water, wind, or light. My partner and I chose to work with the factor of light, how a facade can respond to light, or to use it to be beneficial to a building’s occupants. With the precedents we had chosen. My partner and I wanted to find a way to decrease the amount of direct light that would penetrate into a building, while not obstructing views from the interior.

Shown to the right is an example of how the faced can be supported. In this instance, the façade structure has been edited slightly as if were to be applied to the structure of the Riverview Office Complex. A project shown earlier in this portfolio.
