This issue of “Refleksje” is devoted to the philosophy of education. On the one hand, it is
a broad term, covering a plethora of ideas – both historical and modern – concerning
teaching and education. These concepts have been changing throughout the centuries,
and even now most of them are still developing. That is why, on the other hand, the philosophy
of education is a narrow field and scientists often choose to specialise only in one
given sub-field or theory. Therefore in this issue we publish texts written by constructivists
(also “moderate constructivists”), neurobiologists, behaviourists and anti-pedagogues –
each of these philosophies, as well as other ideas of education, will always be welcome in
our periodical.
I cordially invite you to read the articles – especially since the philosophy of education is
still a “philosophy”, a kind of unhurried reflection, which is the “love of wisdom”.
