This issue of "Refleksje" is devoted to media education for several reasons. First

which is often confused with having specific knowledge. teachers should not compete with the media, but they can use their potential to shape new generations
of knowledge-based society. theoretical and practical knowledge about the mechanisms of functioning of mass media messages enable students to develop their passions and abilities, and prepare better for life in
a modern society. Above all, we have the right ˗ and even, as one of our authors claims, a kind of obligation – to evaluate available information.
