Constant Improvement Is The Key To Success The Agroindustrial Company “MAIS” is a well-known agricultural producer in Ukraine. The company has been in the market for 27 years, developing business in five different production areas. The main activities include but are not limited to seed processing, apple farming, juice making, wallnut tree seedlings crafting, and livestock keeping. With 1100 employees and on 10,000 ha of arable land MAIS produces up to 900,000 sewing units of corn, sunflower, soybean and rape seeds, 8,000 tons of apples, and 200,000 seedlings of wallnut tree. The high quality of the produced seeds is recognized by a vast number of companies in Ukraine and overseas. Each year MAIS grows and harvests fresh apples from the 170 ha orchard. Fruits are stored in the storage with controlled atmosphere and thus preserve their freshness for up to 12 months after harvesting. MAIS both sells raw fruits to distributors and other market players and processes apples into cold pressed juice. The juice is sold under the trademark “Naisik” and is acknowledged to be one of the best products in its category in Ukraine. The company is also engaged in intensive livestock breeding and proud to have one of the biggest Angus cattle farm in the country. HYBRID CORN SEEDS The Agroindustrial Company “MAIS” has been producing high quality corn seeds in Ukraine for 27 years already. The company has its own breeding department that creates new varieties satisfying seed demand in different geographical and climate areas. Export Products Apples MAIS produces 13 popular varieties of apples such as Champion, Brebourne, Gala, Golden Delicious, Rennie Smith, Jonagold, Rosela, Sirius and other. The fruits are grown in the best climate conditions, keeping the world's highest quality standards. The technology is being improved and chemical treatment is reduced due to the application of the biological protection methods. Harvesting is done very thoroughly and this provides high quality to the product. To keep fruits fresh there was constructed the modern apple storage with controlled atmosphere with the capacity of 4,700 tons. Our partners are confident about the quality and safety of apples and thus use fruits to produce children's food, juices and ciders and also to sell to people.
