Since the original factory can be reborn through renovation, can the family buildings be rejuvenated similarly? After careful research on Dahua Textile Factory, the decision was made to transform the old buildings into a maternal and child care industrial park by making full use of its own advantage.

Concept collage
Site Analysis The reconstruction base is located in Xi’an, the most culturally representative city in China. It’s between the city’s second and the third ring road and close to Daming Palace National Heritage Park, and has high cultural significance.as the new cultural center, is leading the cultural trend of the entire northwest China. .The basic service facilities around the base are complete and the business is flourishing. Pedestrian are gathered in several large commercial centers. However, on the east side of the urban trunk roads mainly used by pedestrians, no service facilities such as public green spaces are available. In addition, the building height gradually increases from west to east, the overall architectural style is disordered, and the old and new buildings are mixed irregularly.

Dahua·1935, a cultural and artistic industrial park, transformed from the ruins of a factory workshop after Dahua Textile Factory went bankrupt. Since then, the abandoned industrial remains have revived. Unfortunately, the family buildings of employees were about to be demolished and replaced by new commercial buildings, leading to many protests. Since the original factory can be reborn through renovation, can the family buildings be rejuvenated similarly? In this project design, through the preliminary site analysis and data research, I hope to retain the traditional culture and characteristics of local fishermen and meanwhile help the local fishermen out of the production and income dilemma, so I extract such characteristic elements as marine life, fishing boats, seaports, fishing villages. In combination with commercial service elements from modern commerce and entertainment industry, I create a marine carnival that integrates market transactions, large-scale paradise, and tourism accommodation.

Carnival hotel uses waves and fishing villages as its main elements, and combines elements of beach and sea. The business center mainly uses the element of classical architecture. Site Analysis The project is located at the north end of Qujiang Road, Yanta District, Xi'an. The base is built with an urban expressway that divides the base into east and west areas. The project is divided into five layers, which separate various types of traffic. Folded Eaves Library
It is located in Santai County, Mianyang City, Sichuan, which belongs to the hilly area of central Sichuan. The library is based on a cuboid, with the sense of settlement of the houses on the ground and the unfolding distant mountains as the intention, and the linear relationship derived from the original conditions of the site is abstracted. The rolling landscape paintings formed by curved surfaces and distant mountains, when the breeze blows, they become light overlapping eaves.

Considering the durability and maintenance cost of the building, the steel square tube is selected as the main supporting structure in this design to ensure the stability. The steel frame is selected to support the roof with small area to ensure the permeability of the facade of the building entrance and the lightness of the eaves. Due to abundant rainfall in the area, it is considered to add damp proof course to the roof and foundation.The bucket arch is a decorative component. No load-bearing function, but in order to ensure its stability, steel core is embedded in the wood.
