Marlen, our good soul She’s always there in the background, standing ready on silent, hard-working feet. She brings warmth and love to our hotel with her discreet, attentive care, both in the advice and assistance she offers our guests and the innovative ideas she brings to the team. Ever since day one, she has been indispensable to the development of the Weinegg.
Cordiality, accuracy, organizational talent and leadership skills are among his strengths and distinguish him. He is passionate about the tourism sector: after around 20 years as a director in Südtirol I Alto Adige tourism organizations, he has now taken the plunge into living hospitality: together with the host family Erika and Bruno Moser, he is building on the Weinegg‘s continued success and future.

backstage Energy-boosting morning: Breakfast with Florian Chef Déjeuner de Cuisine FLORIAN affectionately called „Franke“ by the Weinegg team. Actually, it was only supposed to be 1 summer season in Südtirol I Alto Adige: Now he has been cutting, seasoning and getting the pots steaming for 15 years. His boss at the time had put the Weinegg in his heart. Born in Franconia, he has enjoyed helping in the kitchen since he was a child. A passion that allows him to work creatively! Also chatting with guests, refining dishes and getting positive feedback inspire his love for his profession. His favorite breakfast: scrambled eggs with ham, bacon, cheese and a fresh pretzel roll.
SWEET AMORE We are particularly proud of our in-house patisserie: Only the best of cakes and desserts for our guests. The sweet temptation begins at the breakfast buffet with filled croissants and homemade cakes. The feast continues at the afternoon buffet, where everything is worth sinning for - not least the apple strudel - and culminates in glory at the dinner table, in a heavenly enticement of the finest creams and fruity sorbets. You should not – you cannot – resist. Ingredients of almonds, exotic cocoa, lemons, coffee beans, pistachios and yuzu zest make your heart race on Wednesdays, at the weekly dessert buffet.

The daily variety, the exchange with our guests and employees and the challenge that grows with each wine recommendation have given him great pleasure for over 15 years. Dominic finds it most enjoyable to participate in our guests‘ lifes, to hear funny stories and to develop true friendships from season to season. He feels most at home in our wine cellar: over 16,000 bottles are stored there and he knows them all by name. Where does his enthusiasm come from? „With each grape harvest, new flavor and aroma combinations are bottled. Each bottle holds a secret. There‘s a surprise under every cork!“ Dominic enthuses.

GUTSHOF MOSER For decades now the Moser Family has been working our farm in Caldaro sulla Strada del Vino with the greatest of love and passion. Our family began to grow and cultivate grapevines in the Oltradige area three generations ago; in days gone by, the family’s grapes were delivered to the surrounding wineries for pressing. In 2019, with the Tenuta Moser, our winery in Caldaro, a dream has come true: We opened our very own wine cellar with storage room and pressing room, where we can now vinify and bottle our own grapes.
WINE GROWING ESTATE This is where Bruno Moser lives out his great passion in life: wine growing. Together with his two brothers, Wolfgang and Franz he tends the family estate. While some of our grapes are pressed with dedication and skill at the new Tenuta Moser, others are worked up in the prestigious wineries of Cornaiano and S. Michele. Some of these wines have won international awards. For example, the “Pasithea Oro” by the Girlan winery: a late harvest from the Gewürztraminer, this wine is produced entirely from our grapes. The “Montiggl Riesling” is another example: an elegant wine from the St. Michael winery that stands out thanks to its fruity notes and mineral acidity. FRUIT ORCHARD In mid-August, the Gala apples mark the beginning of the harvest in our apple orchards. A regular summer apple contains over 30 vitamins, trace elements, potassium and countless other precious minerals. On request, they are all available for purchase so you can keep stocking up on your vitamins when you get home. GOLDEN VITAMIN JUICE At the Moser estate, we press the countless apple varieties of Südtirol I Alto Adige into our very own apple juice. At the bar and at your table. Wherever you are in our hotel, you will find the heavenly taste of gold in a glass.

With her family she moved to South Tyrol 5 years ago, where she discovered her passion for housekeeping work. Her goal is perfection:mopping, sweeping, fluffing beds, polishing and scrubbing until everything shines. This is topped off with attentions such as fresh fruits, homemade pralines and iced prosecco. She loves to scurry around unobtrusively and make everything shine as if by magic. „That‘s how fragrant cleanliness smells!“ Diligence, dedication, humility and respect for your profession, as well as her eagle eye for every detail, have gotten her where she is now: head housekeeper Marlen‘s right and left hand! The centrepiece of the Messner Mountain Museums, MMM Firmian at Sigmundskron Castle, illustrates the relationship between man and the mountains. These ancient walls at Sigmundskron Castle, complemented by a contemporary steel and glass structure, are the heart of the entire museum concept. The museum houses pictures, sculptures, symbolic artefacts and relics which convey the true meaning of the relationship between man and the mountains. MMM Firmian is a unique place with incredible views, both inside and out. The museum and castle grounds are open from the third Sunday in March through to the second Sunday in November. Closed on Thursdays.

HIKING ON THE WINE TRAIL The wine trail was strategically created in the shape of an eight, with its crossing point at the PUNKT Winehouse on the village market square, and leads you past vineyards and wine estates all the way to Lake Kaltern. White limestone road markers provide information on the unique names of the vineyards - such as Puntara and Palurisch, Salt and Plantaditsch. There are four resting stops along the way, marked by bronze plated information tables.

He perfectly knows his way around and they say that he knows every screw by name and can hear the electricity coursing through the cables. Elias has been part of our team for over 30 years, and knows the Weinegg like the back of his hand. Genie of the lamp for your every wish, fixer and mender extraordinaire, and always up for a laugh: Elias is a true master of all trades. He’s normally the one that picks you up from the station or airport and, at the very latest, you’ll bump into him on our shuttle bus to Bolzano or when he’s driving you to your destination of choice: Once everybody and everything is ready and waiting in the shuttle bus, it’s generally time for a cheery conversation. Sometimes though, silence is the most wonderful thing of all when you’re being chauffeured through the countryside of Südtirol I Alto Adige. Elias just knows what you want at any given moment, a trick he has perfected during his many long years of experience. GENERAL INFORMATION PRICES Prices are in euro, quoted per person per day, based on two fullpaying guests per room and include our ¾ pleasure board. A discount of 20.00 euro is applied for bed & breakfast only bookings. To keep the website as well as our journal as clear as possible, we listed our prices for stays of 7 nights. The daily rate offered to you could vary by 10-20% as we rate our prices according to the season and the length of your stay (1-3 days, 4-6 days and 7 days and more). The local tax of 1.60 euro per day is charged separately for all guests aged 14 and over. The actual layout of rooms and suites may differ slightly from the images shown. MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY In order to guarantee you and your family the full comfort of our suites, the number of guests should not exceed the number of beds or sofa beds of a suite. Thus, it is not possible to put provisional extra beds in our suites. We hope for your understanding. SPECIAL OFFERS Our packages cannot be used in conjunction with each other.
WELLVIVA SPA Book your personal treatment appointments from home: Our Wellviva SPA team is at your complete disposal. Naturally, you can reserve your treatments or update prior reservations directly at the hotel. DOGS You may bring your dogs to the hotel in a dog basket. We charge 20 euro per day for dogs up to 9.9 kg, and 30 euro for dogs over 10 kg. In both cases food is not included. Please understand that no dogs are allowed in the wellness area. We have a designated area for dogs on the lawn and in the restaurant. Please observe the instructions in our dog guide.
One of our main goals is to make your booking, as well as your stay, as easy and uncomplicated as possible. In order to do this, we have put together a few booking guidelines. BOOKING Your booking is considered to be confirmed upon our receipt of your written reservation and our subsequent confirmation. This means that you don’t need to pay a deposit or disclose your credit card number. If you wish, you are welcome to transfer part of the bill in advance. CANCELLATIONS Cancellations are always unpleasant, both for you as a guest and for us as your host. Naturally, we understand that things happen unexpectedly, but we’re sure that you understand what a pity it is if our rooms are lying empty when other guests would have liked to book them. If it is not possible for you to enjoy your Weinegg holiday, you can cancel your stay or postpone your arrival free of charge by sending us written notice of your cancellation at least 7 days before your agreed arrival date. For cancellations between the 6th day and one day before the planned arrival, we charge 30% of the confirmed booking amount. If the cancellation is made on the day of arrival or in the
