IH STORY.
AT SCHWAIGERHOF WE HAVE WELCOMED GUESTS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD FOR MORE THAN 80 YEARS.
A S U P E R I O R H OT E L W I T H H U M B L E B E G I N N I N G S . What began as a small farmhouse steadily grew into the four-star superior hotel it is today. Our family welcomed its first guests back in the 1940s, then increased the number of rooms by adding a new building in the mid-1950s to house more visitors. A small ski lift right outside our door drew many more winter tourists to our hotel. And when the World Ski Championship was held in Schladming in 1982, we took the opportunity to further expand and modernise. That included updating the indoor swimming pool and adding a sauna with a solarium – which was something really rather pioneering at the time! The highlight in the 90s was the construction of our bathing biotope; a recreational oasis with a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains.

THE NEW MILLENNIUM. At the turn of the century, we rang in our hotel’s new wellness and fitness era – with the construction of spa facilities that include an indoor pool, a heated outdoor pool, saunas, relaxation rooms and a beauty treatment area. Not too long ago we finally opened our gymnasium, a new workout room and our very own indoor rock climbing wall. We are constantly updating our facilities – most recently with locally sourced Swiss pine wood. We look forward to welcoming you and hope you will enjoy your stay with us!

Coming from the A10 motorway, take the Ennstal junction exit and take the road towards Schladming. If traffic is bad, avoid the greater Munich area by driving via Passau towards Liezen and continuing on from there to Schladming. Our hotel is located approximately four kilometres north of Schladming. Please note: Vignettes and safety vests are mandatory on Austrian motorways. Vignettes can be obtained at any rest stop and petrol station. Additional tunnel and toll fees may apply.
