Deeping United
It is a truth worth stating that Deeping is growing! And just as it is important to ensure that the services that are on offer expand so is it also necessary that the sporting opportunities of which we have always been proud are accessible to our children. It was with this in mind and seeing that local youth sides were at capacity that motivated Lee Sutton to reignite Deeping United which had actually existed in the Deepings since 1913.
Lee is Deeping born and bred, coaching his eldest son Oliver from the age of 5, first at Northborough and then at Glinton, finishing his football career playing for Deeping Rangers u18s. Now with two younger boys, Alfie and Finlay, Lee was aware that with local youth teams at capacity there were many youngsters not able to play. Getting together with Andrew Isabell the two set about establishing a committee. ExRangers player Matt Holland was keen to give something back to the local game and James came on board to ensure that the FA Charter Standard was attained, with Emma Pearce as secretary, Emma Graham as treasurer and Jolene looking after welfare arrangements. Having started in mid April, the Club now has over 70 members playing from age 5 to age 12, with an over 50s & 60s walking football overseen by Graham Mason and still growing!

The Club has been well supported by Deepings Rugby Club who allow their changing rooms and facilities to be used, the Leisure Centre host the teams on their land and local businesses as well as DSJ Parish Council have been forthcoming with sponsorship. Sponsors include: Deeping Direct Deliveries, Insideout Home Store, Bob Broughton, AJ Glass and Glazing, DNA
Scaffolding, KNH MOT & Service Centre, Wheels Motor Cycles, ACM Gas Heating and Plumbing and Qualpaint.
With all his ducks now neatly in a row all that remains is for Lee as Chairman of the Club with Bob Broughton as President and their army of coaches to work with the other youngsters to give them the opportunity to work together in the outdoors as a team and reap all the benefits that that can bring!
