Just an hour from Deeping, the cathedral known as the’ ship of the Fens’ can be seen long before you arrive. Famous for its sensational octagonal tower, or lantern, the town grew up around this magnificent building. Enjoy the bustling atmosphere around the waterfront, mooch in the antique shops and seek out references to the town’s most famous son, Oliver Cromwell. Take in the views across the River Ouse while having afternoon tea, walk the Eel Trail and soak in the atmosphere. Find out more visit www.visitely.org.uk
