The Hepworth Wakefield has plenty for all the family this month hepworthwakefield.org

Families can get creative this summer at The Hepworth Wakefield with activities for children of all ages. The Hepworth Wakefield Garden is a place for nature, people and art – and the perfect way to spend a sunny day during the summer holidays. Families can take inspiration from the garden to build, experiment and draw in the open air during free Garden Play sessions, happening every Tuesday to Sunday during the holidays.

In the galleries and learning studios, families can drop-in to workshops to make prints, light-catchers or large scale drawings. The workshops happen every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday during the school holidays. Every Friday and Saturday, look out for the Art Pod in the gallery spaces. Explore artworks together and return to the Art Pod to make, draw and create.

On Wednesday 2 August, The Hepworth Wakefield celebrates National Playday with activities across the whole venue. It’s the perfect opportunity to plan a day out at the gallery and see the garden in full bloom – with plenty of space for picnics.

Exhibition entry is free for Members, Wakefield District residents and under 18s. During the summer holidays, non-Wakefield families can get 50% o adult tickets when visiting with children.
