The hotel has 33 individually styled bedrooms, which include spa suites and six recently refurbished pool side suites. Most of the pool side suites boast their own private terrace, and as such are the hot ticket for summer retreats.

Their latest ‘penthouse’ pool side suite is both romantic and cosy. Nestled in the eaves, it enjoys extra privacy and has a sophisticated teal, charcoal and pale gold colour scheme, dressing room, shower room with roll top bath and monsoon shower, as well as an en-suite bathroom, all of which lend this suite an air of added opulence.

The Verbena Spa is divine, its heated outdoor pool, hot tubs, saunarium, steam room, monsoon shower and foot baths all add to the sensory thermal experiences available for guests’ relaxation. Temple Spa products, inspired by the Mediterranean, are the perfect partner for the guests’ spa journey, which is enhanced by a dedicated spa relaxation lounge.

The hotel’s ‘Swim, Stay, Dine’ is a special o er for guests staying midweek in a pool side or spa suite. Guests enjoy optimal use of the hotel’s pool facilities with early access at noon on the day of arrival, along with a relaxing cocktail to sip on the pool terrace. The Weathervane is a 2 AA rosette restaurant which prides itself upon its delectable dishes, created from Yorkshire’s finest farms and home-grown seasonal produce. You can savour ‘al fresco’ lunches on the pool terrace, making the most of the summer menu which includes tasty dishes such as Queen Scallops, Prawn and Avocado cocktail, and Thai Crispy Beef salad, alongside classic salads and other favourite light bites.

Helmsley itself is a charming market town, o ering a variety of artisan shops, a weekly Friday market, and medieval castle ruins to explore right on the doorstep, along with easy access to the Moors and the coast beyond.
