Is it really the summer holidays already?

If you’ve a youngster at home who needs some entertaining, Leiths has a line-up of exciting cookery experiences across July, August and September, from one day or two to week-long boot camp-style courses to prepare for university life.

For globe-trotting tastes, take a look at Leiths Street Food and Food Truck Favourites: at these one-day sessions, Leiths teaches cooking skills through crowd pleasers like Bao Buns, Korean Fried Chicken, Gyoza, smashed cheeseburgers, Chicken Souvlaki with Tzatziki and more.

There are so many more options to choose from too, from breadmaking and Japanese to Spanish Tapas, Indian and Middle Eastern, the list is endless.

For the foodie enthused, there are Leiths two day ‘Tool Box’ courses, where budding masterchefs are kept busy tackling a range of skills and cooking techniques, bread and cake making, marinating, seasoning and more.

While Leiths teens classes are aimed at

11-17 year olds, there is also a special week long course for the 18+ school leavers o to live independently at university or elsewhere. Kitchen Skills for Students will teach your teen how to make quick, creative meals that are inexpensive and full of flavour. They will learn about menu planning and utilising a well-stocked store cupboard to produce tasty, healthy meals, and explore ways to adapt di erent recipes to work with ingredients already in the fridge. The course comes in two parts, incorporating di erent recipes and a combination of di erent skills. So for the really keen chef in the making, there is the opportunity to take one immediately after the other.
