THE LOREM IPSUMS

FALL 2016

ZTA THINKS ZTA is well known for promoting pink on campus PINK! and in the community year-round. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and is a busy month for our chapter!

ZTA & the NFL Zeta Tau Alpha teamed with the Washington Redskins in 1999 for the very first National Football League Think Pink速 game. Since then, we have partnered with all 32 NFL teams and have earned the title of official fan outreach partner for the NFL's "A Crucial Catch" campaign. In October 2014, with the help of the NFL and dedicated volunteers, ZTA will distribute thousands of breast cancer awareness pink ribbons at NFL stadiums across the country.

Think Pink. Think Zeta! In February 2004, the ZTA Foundation announced that Think Pink速 had become a registered trademark of ZTA with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Since then, this term has become the umbrella theme for all of our breast cancer education and awareness projects.

Since 1992, ZTA members have distributed 14 million pink ribbons!

FALL 2016

SISTERHOOD RETREAT

Each fall, the entire chapter looks forward to

sisterhood retreat! Members take the weekend off from their busy lives to bond with sisters and participate in team building activities. New Members have their retreat on the first night, and the next day the whole chapter gathers to spend time with one another. This year, our chapter enjoyed the wilderness and stayed at Camp Piomingo! Bonfires, S’mores, ropes courses, and your sisters! What more could you ask for?

Alumnae Spotlight Tessa Burke, former chapter President at UofL, was selected to be a Traveling Leadership Consultant for ZTA. Since graduating from the University of Louisville in May, she has been living out of suitcases and is traveling around the country visiting different ZTA chapters. “It's been extremely rewarding to give back to ZTA. I've gained so many friends and have grown so much as a woman that it's made it that much better to help women find this in Zeta Tau Alpha,” said Tessa.

Have a post-collegiate story? We want to know! Send your info to ulhistorian@gmail.com. Make sure to keep your contact information up-to-date so you don't miss any alumni-centered news and events!
