Education in a class by itself With multiple colleges and universities and outstanding public and private schools, to say the community put a premium on education is an understatement. Daytona State College and the University of Central Florida serve students from throughout the region. Students from all over the nation attend Stetson University and Bethune-Cookman University, an historically black university. And Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, the world’s leading aviation and aerospace university, welcomes students from around the world. Other institutions include Palmer College of Chiropractic and Kaiser University. Our public high schools include 41 career-oriented “academies”. Among them are the Technology, Engineering, Science and Aeronautics Academy; Health Care Academy; Digital Audio Production Academy; and Digital Video Production Academy. Our private schools also provide exceptional educational opportunities.

Dining, entertainment and shopping With options ranging from oceanfront tiki bars to gourmet restaurants, dining is an event in Volusia County. To your good health Volusia County is fortunate to be served by two leading-edge hospital systems, AdventHealth and Halifax Health. AdventHealth has hospitals in Daytona Beach, New Smyrna Beach, Orange City and DeLand. Halifax Health is a community health system with a Level II Trauma Center and hospitals in Daytona Beach, Port Orange and Deltona. Both systems oer various clinics and urgent care facilities. Palmer College of Chiropractic calls Port Orange home. Florida State University Medical School is on the campus of Daytona State College, which, along with Bethune-Cookman University, oers a major in nursing.

NASCAR & Daytona International Speedway Often called the World Center of Racing, Daytona International Speedway is a motorsports venue known around the world. Its recently completed Daytona Rising re-imagining of the complex has produced a state-ofthe-art venue for competitors, fans and media. This is the site of the Daytona 500 and the home of the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America. Daytona International Speedway also hosts a variety of other NASCAR events as well as concerts, classic car shows, exhibitions, and more. It even hosted the NBC’s American Ninja Warrior television show along with other events and festivals that make the Daytona Beach Region an exciting place to visit and to live. Few communities can match our mastery of hosting events and festivals.

Distribution and warehousing at the crossroads of Central Florida The Daytona Region is at the very heart of the Sunbelt – at the crossroads of Central Florida, the top of the I-4 Corridor. Interstate 4 traverses the state, running through Orlando to Tampa. Interstate 95 at the east end of I-4 provides access to Miami and all of south Florida, as well as the entire Eastern Seaboard.
