PERSONAL STATEMENT Spending the past years in the undergraduate specialism of Landscape Architecture, I fell deeply in love with this subject. As my study went deeper, I saw more excellent landscape works of other practitioners from all over the world. They broadened my horizons and pushed me to further my study abroad, where I hope to obtain a more professional interpretation about landscape and improve myself in theoretical knowledge, critical thinking, and innovation ability. I crave to explore multi-domain and multi-scale topics, grasp the trend and direction of industry development, and generate my own set of insights so that I can be a qualified designer contributing to future urban construction. How to solve the existing ecological and environmental problems and promote the harmonious coexistence of man and nature through landscape architecture is an indispensable part of the future urban development and social progress. It is also a topic that I have been exploring and hope to continue to explore in future studies.

THE IMPACT OF EARTHQUAKES ON PEOPLE

Tokyo is an international metropolis that functions as the capital of Japan. It has the largest population of any Prefecture in Japan and the highest population density in Japan.

EXISTING PROBLEMS Not knowing where the road would break, where would it be safe for me to stand.

The road fracture direction is different, I’m fear of an aftershock will shake the road under my feet.

SITE:Shinkawa, Chuo-ku, Tokyo, Japan

ENVIRONMENTAL ANALYSIS

1.The road is severely damaged and irregular

Shockproof green space are overcrowded, can other parks also have shelter function ?

There are not enough green Spaces in the city for earthquake protection. Where should we go ?

2.Lack of refuge facilities

My phone has no signal .How can I get information of a shelter? There is no indication system for emergency shelters. I'm a tourist. What should I do if I don't have shock absorber experience.

3.The road lacks an emergency indicator system

Rabat's elderly face the prospect of raising their grandchildren while their children work outside the city. The life of the elderly is also very monotonous.

PROBLEMS

GROWTH CYCLE OF ENTEROMORPHA PROLIFERA

Wang Jianwei. Research on ecological factors of Enteromorpha and observation of developmental morphology[D]. Soochow University, 2007.

Enteromorpha will affect marine life's respiration, increase marine pollution, and affect Qingdao's summer tourism and sailing sports, bringing a pungent smell. The local aquaculture industry will also be affected. Manual fishing operations consume much workforce and material resources, but the effect is not apparent.

Herbal Themed Wetland Park design

SITE:The ruins of Pachacamak in Lima, Peru

LOCATION COORDINATES

HERBAL HISTORY

At that time, the Incas believed that any plant contained the energy of the goddess. Therefore, in the process of "exorcising" the patient, the wizard would use some plants to smoke the patient or let them take it orally.

Peruvians use herbs to treat injuries and anesthesia

The Pachacamac site is located between the MUNA and Site museums and is connected to the Urpiwachaq wetland system in the southwest.

The project will protect wetland ecosystems from future desertification.

CURRENT SITUATION AND PROBLEMS

CLIMATE CHARACTERISTICS Due to the cold current in Peru, pachacamac is shrouded in the inversion for nearly six months each year, with slow air circulation, persistent pollutants, and low air quality.

Local people are suffering from water pollution caused by climate change, and the production of crops and herbs has decreased, affecting the local economy and medical conditions.

LOUIS COMPHILLIPS EXETER LIBRARY MODEL ANALYSIS Other works

THE STORY OF PARALLEL WALLS The Phillips Exeter Library consists of a dual area around a large central space, with an inner circle for books to be protected from direct sunlight and an outer circle for readers to read in natural light. Super-scale space makes people awe knowledge. In order to better show the structure of the building, three quarters of the building was cut off, and the model mainly showed the atrium space and the beam structure of the cloisters.

”A COVERED PLATFORM“

Inspired by the film Purple Rose, the space is enclosed by 7 parallel walls. Grille - Finding

OTHER WORKS

The grille wall creates a hazy view.

Model making, hand-painted works, artistic installation works

Use base lift and top surface deformation treatment technique, top surface L shape, base surface U shape. The hollow and texture of the top surface bring about the change of light and shadow in different periods of time in the space.

Low wall - ambiguous

The low wall is reliable, giving visible but untouchable distance.

Enclosure - Dilemma

The wrong choice left two people trapped in a space surrounded by three sides. The low wall is reliable, giving visible but untouchable distance.

Corridor - Walk together Enjoy a romantic trip for two in the hallway with Windows.

Platform -- Confusion

Come to the open space, there are more choices in the direction, but also bring different confusion.
