CO-LIVING APARTMENT Location: Tokyo, Japan Program: Neighborhood residential Unit Year: June, 2018 Area: 43,500 sf

Tokyo is the place where most young people and many foreigners pursue their dreams. Tokyo is a city combines the rich Eastern historical heritage and diverse Western cultures. Under the heavy pressures of high speed and fast-paced work and life, people are easy to has the sense of loneliness without friends. However, traditional collective housing is difficult to change this indifferent interpersonal relationship.

Through this project, I hope to break the gap between people, so that young people can easy to meet new friends between this co-living apartments.

In my mind, communication andexercise can help people reduce stress, the brain produces a substance endorphin make people feel happy after exercise. So, in this project, fitness space and open communcation space are two important

EXCHANGE Location: Chicago, USA Program: IIT-March-The Examination and Redevelopment of the Michael Reese Site Year: Dec, 2016 Team Work The idea of exchange is an essential concept hardwired into our minds before take our first glimpse of this world. When we first looked at the Michael Reese site all it embodied was seclusion and neglect. To create a thriving neighborhood we must think about long term goals and adaptability. First we must connect the site back into the fabric of the city. Then we must activate the site creating a reason for people to visit or reside in the community “a destination�. Third we have to sustain the site. by creating jobs, institutions, and a local commerce. Finally the site needs a sense of identity, a landscape, a feel that is unique and attractive.

With the right amount of expression, civic pride, thought, and exchange we will create a locale that will last for generations.
